Annual General Meeting - May 7th

Hello to all Sinclair Park catchment residents!

It is, once again, time for our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Our AGM will be held at Sinclair Park Community Center (490 Sinclair St, or the corner of Arlington and Church) on Wednesday, May 7th at 7:00 PM.

Only persons residing in the catchment basin for Sinclair Park will be eligible to come and vote at the AGM. Our catchment boundaries are as follows:

NORTH - Carruthers Avenue between McPhillips Street and McGregor Street.

SOUTH - The lane South of Aberdeen Avenue between McPhillips Street and Arlington Street, and then the CPR Tracks between Arlington Street and Salter Street.

WEST - McPhillips Street between Carruthers Avenue and the lane South of Aberdeen Avenue, and the Arlington Street between the lane South of Aberdeen Avenue and the CPR Tracks.

EAST - McGregor Street between Carruthers Avenue and Mountain Avenue, and then McKenzie Street between Mountain Avenue and Redwood Avenue, and then Salter Street between Redwood Avenue and the CPR Tracks.

We will be holding elections for the Board of Directors. The following positions will be up for election at the AGM:

Four (4) At Large Directors - One Year Terms

Sports Director - Two Year Term

1st Vice-President

President

We also have one proposed change to make to our constitution. The change is this:

10.6                Any person seeking the position of President and Treasurer must have served and completed three (3) years immediately prior to the current year, as an Executive Sinclair Park Board Member, prior to seeking election.

Reason:            To ensure that any person seeking the role of President or Treasurer has knowledge of how the SPCC executive board functions, helping ensure the continuity of running the facility.
