This year, Sinclair Park will only have one hockey rink, and it will be at our Robertson site. The City of Winnipeg has been keeping track of the overall usage of hockey rinks over the last few years, and it was felt that our one rink would see more usage at Robertson than it would at Sinclair Park. The Robertson rink is open from 5:00 - 9:00 PM on weekdays, and 2:00 - 8:00 PM on weekends.

 

Please be aware that all rink usage is weather dependant. The rinks will NOT be open if the weather is below -28 degrees Celsius including the wind chill. This will also affect practices and school usage. We know that Mother Nature is being a pain  this year, and we have quickly gone from too warm to too cold, but we absolutely cannot turn on our rink lights unless the temperature is within acceptable range.

 

We use Environment Canada's website to determine the temperature and wind chill. This is the temperature we assume it is. Other websites and television channels may state differences in the temperature or wind chill, but the rinks will not open if Environment Canada's website states that the temperature is below -28 degrees Celsius.
